Dedication like yours, along with the can-do attitude of thousands of volunteers all over the city, is exactly what we need to meet our goals. Got a project in mind for this year’s Philly Spring Cleanup? There are now two ways to submit your 2010 Philly Spring Cleanup Project:

Application Deadline

We will accept projects as long as cleaning supplies last, so please submit your applications as soon as possible.

 

First 100 Registrants Receive a Bagster Bag


For the first 100 project registrants, you will receive a Bagster bag from Waste Management. You can fill the Bagster bag with up to 3,300 pounds of construction debris, household junk and yard waste from your Cleanup project. For more information on the Bagster bag, click here.

 

Supplies for Your Cleanup Project

We look forward to increasing the number of partners for this year’s Cleanup and to engaging our partners in the overall litter prevention strategy. The City will offer a limited number of supplies to assist with beautification projects. These items include:

  • Trash bags
  • Rakes
  • Paint & Brushes
  • Gloves
  • Shovels
  • Graffiti Removal Kits
  • Brooms
  • Recycling Bins
  • Safety Vests

In addition, we will help support your projects by directing volunteers to your sites, collecting trash and recyclables from your Cleanup and assisting you in planning your project. We are unable to provide special-ordered supplies. If you are interested in becoming a project site, please complete the project application.

We did it! More than 11,000 volunteers at 231 official project sites used approximately 5,000 brooms, 3,000 rakes and 1,800 shovels to fill 48,000 trash bags with unsightly, unwanted litter. That’s how to clean up a City!
